4200 Series Twist Link Regular Truck Chains with Cams
4200 Series (Triples) are by far the most common chains seen on the highways today. This chain is an entry level carbon steel link chain and does not offer the best traction or service life, but is the most economical way to fullfill DOT highway chain requirements.
For those that are intending to use chains frequently, we suggest using higher end chains tailored for better traction and wear. These alternatives are more expensive, but will stand up much longer yielding a much lower cost per mile of traction.
We suggest:
- Alloy Square Link for snow and ice covered roads
- V-bar reinforced for deep snow, mud and ice covered roads
- Scorpion Studded for off-road use where extreme traction is required
